RNR 2006 Rally

The 2006 rally took place from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th June at Bugsworth Basin, Upper Peak Forest Canal.

2006 Boat rally

Facilities for the lectures and entertainment were provided by the Navigation Inn at Buxworth.

The AGMs of the Register and Property Companies took place in Buxworth War Memorial Hall. Throughout the rally, members were made most welcome by the Inland Waterways Protection Society, in particular Ian Edgar, MBE. Ian led a most interesting tour of the site on Sunday afternoon.

Excellent weather, good company and even a win by the England football team in their first world cup match made for a perfect weekend. Boaters who have not visited Bugsworth or the Upper Peak Forest Canal have so far missed a treat. The Pennine Waterways web site has full details.
